Having a positive view may help whiplash recovery

A patient's attitude to whiplash injury is key to their making a full recovery.

Researchers from Sweden and Canada surveyed just over 1,000 adult claimants from two insurance companies in Sweden.

Those who said they were unlikely to make a full recovery were more likely to have severe symptoms six months later than those who felt they would recover, said the authors in the online Public Library of Science Medicine.
