Florence Nightingale Foundation to get £750k scholarship fund

The Florence Nightingale Foundation will become a funding partner for the Burdett Trust, which promotes research, travel and leadership development scholarships for nurses

The foundation will receive a grant of £250k per year for three years to expand its programme of leadership capacity in nursing and healthcare.

The grant will fund a programme to develop leadership qualities in senior nurses.

Applications are welcomed from nurses who aspire to a board position and are currently directors of nursing, deputy/assistant executive board nurses, heads of allied health professionals, nurse and midwifery consultants, or modern matrons. Employers will be required to support applications.
