Post-natal depression affects 1 in 10 fathers
Around 10 per cent of fathers experience post-natal depression, with as many as 25 per cent reporting depression between three and six months after the birth of their child.
A study found that there was a big difference in the levels of depression, depending on the time since the child’s birth, with only 7.7 per cent of men experiencing depression in the first three months.
There was a mild correlation between post-natal depression for mothers and fathers.
