DH takes responsibility for nutrition policy

The Department of Health has announced it would be taking over responsibility for government policy on nutrition, leaving the Food Standards Agency to focus on food safety policy and enforcement.

The government said bringing the remit of nutrition policy into the DH was part of its attempt to develop a “public health service”.
