Multiple sclerosis activity can alter with the seasons, increasing in spring and summer but decreasing in autumn and winter, according to US researchers.
A US study found the number of lesions on brain scans was two to three times as high in 44 patients with MS between March and August, compared to the rest of the year.
The study also found warmer weather and solar radiation was linked to MS disease activity, but there was no link with wet weather.
