NICE approves psoriasis drug

NICE has approved adalimumab (Humira) for use as a treatment for chronic plaque psoriasis in adults.

It is currently the only fully human anti-TNF monoclonal antibody licensed for treating plaque psoriasis in the UK.

The drug was recommended by NICE for treating severe active ankylosing spondylitis in May, and it was approved in Scotland for psoriasis last month.
