Last chance to have your say on future of profession
Nurses and midwives have until next Monday to register their views with the Prime Minister’s Commission on the Future of Nursing and Midwifery.
The closing date for responses to the commission’s website is 10 August.
The commission was set up in May to look at the future of the two professions and held its third meeting on 14 July in Manchester.
Health minister Ann Keen said: ‘The Prime Minister has asked the commission to engage in robust dialogue to identify challenges and opportunities for nurses and midwives, so we’d like to hear your views about nursing and midwifery in England.
‘Everyone’s views are welcome and you are encouraged to contribute!’ she said.

Student nurses need more support and encouragement before starting final placement on working towards being a qualified nurse instead of being used a healthcare assistents all the time and runners.
