Midwife and infant feeding adviser Janet Blake chats with mothers at NHS Greenwich’s Baby Café breastfeeding tent – the first in the UK.
The tent, launched by the PCT earlier this month, offers mothers a comfortable place to breastfeed their babies at public events, with specialist staff available to give advice and support.
Donah Francis, NHS Greenwich’s breastfeeding strategy coordinator, said: ‘The Baby Café events tent is designed to make it easier for mums of all walks of life, ethnicities and experience, to breastfeed their baby on a family day out.’
