Chronic heart failure guidance updated
NICE has released updated guidance to improve diagnosis and treatment of chronic heart failure in primary and secondary care.
The document takes into account research published since NICE’s original 2003 guidance.
It sets out the combination of symptoms, signs and investigations which taken together are most effective in confirming a diagnosis of heart failure and the most appropriate treatments.
