Grants programme launched for paediatric nursing projects
The Burdett Trust for Nursing and the Roald Dahl Foundation launched a grants programme for specialist nurses working in paediatric neurology and haematology.
The “Different Disciplines, Common Experience” programme will offer grants of up to £7,500 to enable specialist nurses to improve the quality of care available to children living with serious medical conditions in the UK.
A total grant fund of £150,000 is available over three years and the programme will enable up to 30 specialist nurses to deliver nurse-led projects.
As well as improving the lives of children suffering from serious illnesses, this programme will help nurses in improving their leadership skills and overall knowledge of paediatric health. In the end, this initiative will help enhance paediatric nursing in general.
