The government’s medicines and health products watchdog has seized around half a million pounds worth of counterfeit erectile dysfunction, anxiety and weight loss drugs in simultaneous raids on four locations in Middlesbrough.
Cleveland Police and Cleveland Trading Standards assisted the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on the early-morning raids last Thursday.
The raids resulted in the arrest of four Chinese nationals, two men and two women, on suspicion of the sale and supply of a range of suspected fake medicines.
They have been released on bail to appear at a later date for further questioning.
MHRA head of enforcement, Mick Deats, said: ‘Enquiries suggest that the counterfeit medicines originated from China and were being delivered to various addresses in the Middlesbrough area.
‘The counterfeit medicines, which were for erectile dysfunction, anxiety and weight loss will now be submitted for forensic analysis to determine their content and investigations will focus upon the onward distribution of these goods.
‘Counterfeit medicines are dangerous to public health. Those involved in these types of dealings do not care about your health. They are only in it for one reason, and that is to make money.’

Impotence- new herbal cures?
There are many claims made in this area of research, but my own experience is that until any natural herbal remedy has been properly tested in clinical trails you should stay well clear of it.
Most recently there is chatter about a group of German researchers working on a plant extract that cures erectile dysfunction which may be available next year!

I have read the information supplied on the HealthyEd site and the evidence in favour of Butea over prescription drugs supplied by your local GP is compelling. With such high success rates who could question them.
