QNI offers grant for community nurse research

Community nurses can apply for grants of up to £7,500 to set up projects which improve quality of life.

A year of professional development will accompany each Queen’s Nursing Institute grant, awarded from its Fund for Innovation 2009. The packages are intended to support projects which promote shared learning and improve nursing practice.

Anne Pearson, QNI practice development manager, said: ‘In 2008 the fund awarded grants to ten nurse led teams which are already benefiting from the financial and professional support.’

The QNI is also offering a number of other grants, including the Maureen Acland Award for Research and Development which aims to advance nurse practice.

Applications must be received by 26 January 2009. For information click here or call Ms Pearson on 020 7549 1403.
