Smith and Nephew Foundation invites applications for nursing education opportunities
The Smith and Nephew Foundation awards fund nurse researchers who will be role models and potential research leaders in the profession.
The awards are advertised in March each year and all students and fellows become part of a growing network of nurses working in centres of excellence in skin and tissue breakdown. These centres focus on portfolios of research that are progressively developing an understanding of tissue integrity and skin breakdown, informing treatment and prevention strategies.
The awards include;
- The Doctoral Nursing Research Studentship (circa £90K over 3 years) which provide support for nurse researchers with strong potential who are at the beginning of their research careers;
- The Post-doctoral Nursing Research Fellowship (circa £120k over 3 years) which is designed to enhance nursing post-doctoral research capacity and support outstanding career nurse researchers;
- A Joint Doctoral Nursing Research Studentship, or Post-doctoral Nursing Research Fellowship, in partnership with the Multiple Sclerosis Society, is offered as above.
