NICE releases draft guidance on constipation in women
NICE has published draft guidance recommending prucalopride (Resolor, Movetis) as an option for the treatment of chronic constipation in women.
However, NICE has provisionally ruled that prucalopride should only be considered for women who have tried at least two different types of laxative and lifestyle changes for at least six months, but have not had relief from constipation.
A consultation on the guidance will close on 24 August with the final guidelines expected to be published in December.
