Lung cancer support group launched
A support group for people living with lung cancer will be launched next month at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
Sheree Hall (pictured), the trust’s specialist lung cancer nurse practitioner, decided to start the group to provide “much needed” support for local people diagnosed with the disease.
Ms Hall said: “People want to understand what is happening to them and research shows that this type of help can reduce the distress that patients and their families suffer.”
The first of the monthly meetings will take place on 14th September.
