NHS Direct launches swine flu symptom checker
NHS Direct has created a special online symptom checker for patients who are worried they may have caught swine flu.
The symptom checker should only be used by adults and children over the age of five.
Patients using the symptom checker are asked if they have visited any areas of the world that have been badly affected by swine flu.
They are also asked whether they are experiencing symptoms such as pain across the centre of the chest, pain in the jaw, are short of breath, or their toenails and fingernails have changed colour.
