Three more swine flu deaths as UK cases reach 7,500
Three more swine flu deaths have been confirmed in the UK
NHS London confirmed the death of a nine-year-old girl from swine flu over the weekend, adding that she had ‘serious underlying health problems’. The identity of the girl has been witheld at the request of the family.
The other two victims, both from Dewsbury in West Yorkshire, were Abdullah Patel, in his 40s, and a nine-year-old girl, Asmaa Hussain. Miss Hussain, who suffered from epilepsy, died on Thursday. Mr Patel, a teacher, died on Sunday.
Experts have claimed that the number of new swine cases could reach 100,000 per day by the end of August.
