Online resource for nurses who wish to train in cosmetics

A new website has been launched to support nurses who wish to move into the field of cosmetics.

Medics Direct (Europe), the training arm of the cosmetics firm You Are Beautiful Ltd, offers training in delivering treatments such as Botox and dermal fillers. The firm's new website on its courses can be found at www.medicsdirect.com

On completion of its courses, trainees become qualified aesthetics practitioners and are able to start-up their own branded You Are Beautiful business. The company provides ongoing clinical and business support as well as the opportunity to network and share best practice with its practitioner network.

Glasgow-based nurse Helen Shaw began operating as an aesthestic practitioner on a part-time basis in November 2007. 'The firm creates a real support network where advice can be sought when required and new information is passed down to allow already qualified practitioners to enable us to continually improve, she said.
