Two senior staff from Glenside Manor, an organisation providing specialist neuro-rehabilitation services in England, have been awarded a scholarship to study brain injury recovery centres in America

Sally Davis and Andrew Norman were awarded the Florence Nightingale Foundation Scholarship to study the role of the nurse in cognitive rehabilitation therapy and to challenge traditional models of post-acute traumatic brain injury rehabilitation.

Denis Barry, managing director of Glenside Manor, said: ‘This study will be an enormous benefit to the treatment provided in our new brain injury rehabilitation hospital in South Newton, which opens fully at the beginning of next year.’

The work will be published next year.
