British Lung Foundation launches lung disease campaign with PCT

  • Comment
A campaign to raise awareness of the early symptoms of lung disease has been launched by The British Lung Foundation and South Tyneside PCT

The Love Your Lungs campaign aims to alert people to the early symptoms of lung disease, including a persistent cough or breathlessness. The British Lung Foundation has organised public information sessions and these include lung function tests and smoking cessation advice.

Research conducted by the British Lung Foundation identified that people living in the South Tyneside PCT area are more likely to be admitted to hospital with COPD than anywhere else in the UK.
