Campaign will explain reforms

  • Comment
Nurses will learn how NHS reforms will affect them in a new Department of Health campaign targeted at the profession.

Janice Sigsworth, deputy chief nursing officer for England, told NT a campaign on how the NHS Next Stage Review would affect nurses was planned for the autumn. The review results, being drawn up by junior health minister Lord Darzi, are due this summer.

‘One thing we don’t want, and Lord Darzi doesn’t want, is to have any big surprises – the last thing we want to spring on stakeholders or the profession is the rabbit out of the hat,’ she told an NT summit round table of key stakeholders.
