Health care professionals to help tackle side effects concerns in steroid asthma medicines

Healthcare professionals in the UK have the opportunity to share their views on the side effects of steroid asthma medicines by completing an online survey developed byAsthma UK and Education for Health.

This survey follows on from a survey of people with asthma and parents or carers of people with asthma in July 2008.

The charities hope that additional input from healthcare professionals will provide an insight into how concerns about side effects can affect the way people take asthma medicines.

The survey has been supported by a financial grant from GlaxoSmithKline plc, Merck Sharp & Dohme Limited and Novartis Pharmaceuticals UK Ltd.
