Charity launches cancer counselling service

  • Comment
Nurses can now recommend a free counselling service for families, friends and colleagues of those affected by cancer.

Those seeking help can attend face-to-face sessions in London or call a specialist telephone counselling line as part of the Cancer Counselling Trust (CCT) programme.

A nine session course, which last for 50 minutes each, can be organised within two weeks of contacting the charity.

Jonathan Lake, CCT chief executive, said: ‘We’re here to provide the ideal form of service for each and every one of the people who decide they need our specialist input.

‘Every counselling session is tailor-made to the needs of each individual client; after all, everyone’s needs are different.’
