Off-duty nurse saves choking child

An off duty nurse saved the life of a two year old after he choked on a grape during a football match, the Coventry Telegraph has reported.

Lee Matthews, an accident and emergency nurse at the city’s university hospital, came to aid of Hayden Chadwick during a match between Leamington FC and Hyde United.

The child was described as having turned blue and gone limp before Mr Matthews dislodged the blockage.
