Northern Ireland

Macmillan Northern Ireland is calling on all Assembly candidates to improve cancer care by committing to three calls if elected:

Equal access to cancer nurses

Make sure that everyone diagnosed with cancer has access to a specialist nurse - no matter where they live, how old they are, or what type of cancer they have.

Better care during and after treatment

One in five people with cancer don’t feel treated as an individual. Make sure everyone diagnosed with cancer gets high quality care and support, which is tailored to their holistic needs.

The right care at the end of life

Make sure people with cancer who are approaching the end of life have a say in decisions about their care.
