Make sure that no man faces cancer alone this Men’s Health Week

  • Comment

National Men’s Health week takes place 15 – 21 June this year. It’s a time to encourage your male patients to seek information and support that they may not have previously considered.

Men health week-Macmillan

We have a range of resources and support for men who are worried about cancer, have been diagnosed, are going through treatment, or are facing difficulties getting back to work or with finances. And we can help to support their families and loved ones too – or provide support if someone they love has cancer.

This Men’s Health Week, remind your patients about the free confidential service on the Macmillan Support Line. They can call in complete confidence about anything that might be worrying them, or with any questions – including those about relationships, money worries, or treatment – or just to chat.

The line is open from Monday-Friday, 9am – 8pm, on 0808 808 00 00

They may prefer to go online and chat to others going through similar experiences in our online community – everyone is welcome. Simply visit community.macmillan.org.uk

And we have a range of free, up-to-date and easy to understand booklets about male cancers, covering topics from signs and symptoms to going for tests, treatment and practical issues. Simply visit be.macmillan.org.uk to browse and order.
