Malignant spinal cord compression alert card

  • Comment

A team of Macmillan acute oncology nurses have produced a new patient alert card that explains the symptoms of malignant spinal cord compression (MSCC).

The card helps the people you support know when they should see a doctor immediately. The foldout card is the same size as a business card, so will fit easily into a wallet or purse.

The alert card should be handed out to patients with our leaflet on MSCC. This also gives people information on the symptoms, as well as who to speak to if they do show the signs of MSCC. Both items are free and can be ordered from be.Macmillan.

We’d appreciate your feedback on this new resource – please email the Cancer Information Team.
