New videos on body image after cancer treatment

  • Comment

For some people, cancer can have a big impact on their body. These four short films aim to help patients rebuild their confidence.

Treatments like surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal therapy can change the way their body looks, works or feels. This can be a constant reminder of their cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Research shows that three out of four people who have experienced these changes feel pressure or embarrassment about how they look at some stage.

We’ve added a short film about body image to our website, which we hope will be useful to any of your patients who are experiencing changes.

In it, you’ll hear Richard, Peter, Heather and Stacey talk about how they felt about their bodies after cancer treatment – and how they rebuilt their confidence.
