New information resource targets men with breast cancer

  • Comment

A dedicated information pack for men diagnosed with breast cancer has been written by specialist nurses at the charity Breast Cancer Care.

The pack addresses the emotional and practical aspects of diagnosis, as well as issues men may face during and after treatment.

Rachel Rawson, a clinical nurse specialist at the charity, said: “Men diagnosed with breast cancer can often feel very isolated or embarrassed about discussing their diagnosis.

“We hope this resource will really improve men’s experience, helping them to understand what to expect and feel informed,” she said.

Around 350 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.

The information pack can downloaded for free.
