Patients who are introduced to the concept of their ‘heart age’ are more likely to take steps to improve their cardiovascular health.

Research has found that discussing patients’ ‘heart age’, which is determined by the Framingham Risk Score, had more emotional impact on patients than discussion of their increased risk of heart disease in percentage terms.
