NHS Grampian launches redesigned continence website

  • Comment

NHS Grampian Continence Service is developing customised web pages in partnership with a continence pad manufacturer to share critical information with its staff and partners.

The web pages communicate key information, such as product-fitting guides, training dates, factsheets on continence and online order forms.

The joint project with Attends also aims to reduce costs and improve the service’s environmental footprint.

NHS Grampian is the first Attends customer in Europe to develop the web pages, which aim to share information with service users more quickly and without unnecessary printing.

Wilma Nicolson, a continence advisor for NHS Grampian, said: “It is a useful additional tool for staff in all clinical areas to have access to NHS Grampian forms for bladder and bowel assessments and supporting educational leaflets to help promote continence. This is a good example of how we work in partnership with key providers to further enhance our services.”

Tom Newbould, digital marketing manager for Attends, added: “NHS Grampian has become the first customer in Europe to take advantage of this additional service provided by Attends. As well as offering outstanding products, care and support, one of our main aims is to help our customers cut their carbon emissions by making small everyday changes such as effectively sharing information online rather than on paper. This can often have a further benefit of saving money for the NHS.”
