Today at 4pm Nursing Times will be debating pressure ulcer prevention

The debate will be hosted by Vanessa McDonagh and Amy Oldfield, both tissue viability clinical nurse specialists.

  • Vanessa started working in tissue viability in 2009 and leads the pressure ulcer prevention work within the trust. She has presented locally and nationally on the subject of pressure ulcer prevention specifically on the work being undertaken at UHCW on the 100 days free campaign to eliminate avoidable pressure ulcers. This work has been recognised by winning awards locally and nationally. Vanessa won the Molnycke scholarship novice practitioner award in 2010
  • Amy started working in Tissue Viability in Tissue Viability in 2004. She has presented locally and nationally on surgical wound management, innovative methods of education and the role of the health care assistant in tissue viability.
