Nursing Times launches new nutrition screening CPD unit

  • Comment

Adequate nutrition is vital for people with compromised health, yet malnutrition is not always easy to recognise. Detecting malnutrition in all patients is a crucial nursing role that involves the use of validated screening tools.

Nutrition Screening is a new unit from Nursing Times Learning, which aims to increase your understanding of this important subject.

The unit will enable you to identify the need for accurate and timely nutrition screening and understand the implications for the patient of poor or incomplete nutrition screening.

It also explains how to use a common nutrition screening tool and the common nursing actions you can take after completing nutrition screening.

Working through the unit and reading key reading takes an average of two hours, and a score of over 70% in a test taken at the end enables you to download a personalised certificate for your portfolio.
