CNO praises charity care home

  • Comment

Chief nursing officer for England Dame Christine Beasley has praised the high standard of service provided to residents at Eversfield care home in Surrey, which is run by the charity Elizabeth Finn Care.

Dame Christine, who met with residents and carers during a visit last week, said: ‘The level of choice and care that the residents receive is of the highest standard.’

She added: ‘I was delighted to visit Eversfield and meet all the carers and residents. The visit was a great opportunity to speak to lots of people all at once and hear about their interesting lives.’

Residents invited the CNO to their weekly committee meeting where they are empowered to choose their own activities. The morning concluded with a reception where some 30 residents had the chance to drink champagne and share anecdotes of their lives with Dame Christine.
