Conservative pledging to stop maternity service moves wins seat

  • Comment

Greg Clark has won Tunbridge Wells for the Conservatives with a majority of nearly 16,000.

Mr Clark has pledged to stop the move of consultant-led midwifery services to Pembury, despite a new hospital already being built with this in mind.

The new health secretary will find the Independent Reconfigurations Panel’s report on the situation on their desk when they take office.
