An anal irrigation system (Peristeen Anal Irrigation, Coloplast) has been added to the drug tariff. The system is used to empty the lower bowel and has been used to prevent faecal incontinence, treat constipation and manage bowels.‘Incontinence: the engineering challenge’ will be held on 14–15 November.
