'Cough cards' may improve lung cancer diagnosis

“Cough Cards” designed to prompt people who may have the early signs of lung cancer to seek medical help are being trialled in Sheffield.

The cards, devised by Sheffield Hallam University, urge people to make an appointment with their GP if they have a persistent or unusual cough.

They were developed with healthcare professionals and lung cancer survivors in Rotherham, where smoking and lung cancer rates are high.
