    1. I have no qualms in seeing our so called "nursing leaders" depart the roles when they obviously haven't brokered the best deal for its members. For as long as I've been in the union, no-one has had the backbone to stand up to the government therefore I welcome the loss of these leaders and hope that they will be replaced by people who stand for the workers and actually understand what they're negotiating.
    2. I think the commentators have missed the point regarding less nursing students than last year. I don't see it as Brexit etc I see it as nursing students paying over 9K for only half the year in university(compared to 10 months for other students), with no maintenance grants available. My daughter will now be incurring over 14K of debt in her 2nd year, just to be a nurse who starts on a terrible basic wage. Lets look at the reality, what bank of mum and dad or mature student with children, can cope with this amount of debt and unpaid working whilst trying to become one of the lowest paid professionals in the UK?
