Yes worrying, for the people we nurse, the public and the pressures we are under to deliver good nursing care. Elinor Jones. RGN
I feel that nurses work very hard. We do not go to work to get on with every colleague it is impossible. We work for what's best for the patient. Nobody is making us do that and if we don't want to do the job, we should find alternative work. RN.
Training in 1980 and still nursing. Sisters from Barts, St Guys and such
like, that trained me, I could not even imagine that they gave anything
less than their time/ skills and professionalism. Development that makes me do what I do best and support leaners also.
I worked as a enrolled nurse for many years & now work as a RN.
I will be in praise, always, for enrolled nurses. I ensure always that my residents are safe & I regularly do rounds & involve staff for feedback.
At 55 years old revalidation is challenging at times, I have phoned the RCN on two occasions for support,. I agree, if too little information is
not given, Nurses of my age could go. That, would be a shame. I wish
support to all Nurses & Students
I have been nursing for many many years like fellow nurses. Changes
have certainly taken place some for the good a lot not so. The heart of
good care is with the patient. Keep up to date yes but there is not 3
nurses in charge of a unit anymore just one how hard do people expect
us to work. Is there no limit to being vocational to expect another over
load of paperwork.
