The government has launched a campaign 'Get well soon - without antibiotics' to remind the public that antibiotics are not an appropriate treatment for viral infections such as coughs, colds and sore throats.

The government campaign 'Get well soon - without antibiotics' will remind the public that antibiotics are not an appropriate treatment for viral infections such as coughs, colds and sore throats.

Adverts and posters in newspapers and magazines are part of the Government's strategy to tackle the increasing problem of antibiotic resistance which could make treatment for common bacterial infections such as pneumonia much more difficult in the future.
