The Queen's Nursing Institute has launched a £70,000 fund to provide grants for community nurse-led projects.

The Queen's Nursing Institute has launched a £70,000 fund to provide grants for community nurse-led projects.

The grants, of between £2,500 and £7,500, are available from its Fund for Innovation to nurses in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Money will go to projects which improve community nursing practice.

Nurses chosen for funding can also apply to the QNI's professional development programme for the first time.

Anne Pearson, QNI practice development manager, said: 'Because of the results in our professional development programme we decided to throw the gates open to all our funded projects. There will no longer be a two-tier structure to QNI project funding.'
