Easy to see who lives in the real world and who doesn't.
Don't think any of the saints/idealists have answered the question of how they would deal with the big, burly, drunk guy yet!

Let me put the other side of the argument then.
I work almost exclusively night shifts - I have for many years and depend on the enhancements to meet my bills.
I do not 'pull a sickie' - never have and never will.
AfC made no difference to the amount of time I have been sick but it does prevent me having to go into debt when I am ill.
Blaming the ills of the NHS on staff sickness? - pretty much symptom rather than cause I would have thought.
Poor morale due to constant government fiddling designed to show that they are 'doing something'. Thats the real cause - and its been going on for all the 30+ years I have worked in the NHS
