CNWL secures further significant investment in its world class care in the community

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust has secured a significant investment in its district nursing service for the Camden area, from the Camden Clinical Commission Group.

The substantial investment will allow the trust to increase its numbers from their St Pancras Hospital site to improve nursing within the Camden area.

Alasdair Tudhope, Head of Clinical Operations Support at Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust said “This significant investment allows us to make a materially positive impact on the local community of Camden and its surrounding areas by increasing our numbers and investing in our staff”.

The Trust is looking to strengthen its band 5 community nurse team, through the appointment of a number of nurses, all of whom will be based at the South Wing, St Pancras Hospital, but will work throughout the Borough of Camden.

Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust are also utilising the investment to strengthen the service to patients through developing its supportive career pathway. The trust is looking to appoint a band 6 community clinical nurse educator and a band 7 nurse team leader to assist in the mentoring and development of the overall community nursing team.
