Nursing Times Careers Live

Nursing Times events to look out for in 2019

Nursing Times Careers Live will return in 2019 with seven events across England while the Student Nursing Times Awards will celebrate the best in nursing education – entries close soon

Here we are at the start of another year, with a full calendar of events to tell you about that can potentially change your career – either by helping you find a new job or through celebrating your achievements with an award.

Our popular programme of careers fairs is back, but with a revised and extended schedule. We will be increasing the number of Nursing Times Careers Live events we put on from six to seven this year.

We will be making our usual visits to Manchester, Birmingham and London, as well as returning to Liverpool for a second year in a row.

However, our first Nursing Times Careers Live of 2019 will be in a new location for us, namely Brighton and the South Coast.

In addition, later in the year we will be coming to Nottingham and the East Midlands for the first time too. We will not be coming to Bristol this year.

If we are in your city or region, please come along and say hello. At each venue, we will have a hall packed with employers wanting to meet you as well as a cracking programme of speakers designed to support and inspire you on your career journey.

Meanwhile, if you are doing great work and think that you can both help share best practice and get some deserved recognition at the same time, then check out our portfolio of awards for 2019.

Firstly, the Student Nursing Times Awards bring together the nursing community to shine a light on the brightest talent making their way into the profession and the organisations that support them. There is not long left to enter the awards – the deadline for entry is Friday 18 January 2019.

So, whether you are a student or an educator, make sure you take a look at the categories and don’t risk missing out on entering.

The awards themselves will take place on Friday 26 April in a glittering afternoon ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane.

Our annual Nursing Times Awards celebration will take place on 30 October with over 20 categories available to enter over the coming months. Once again, we will be looking to recognise exceptional achievement by nurses and organisations from across the profession.

Finally, following a successful launch last year, our Workforce Summit and Awards will take place again on 25 September 2019. The event will recognise and reward the excellent work that is being done by employers to support the nursing and midwifery workforce.

Look out for details of these and other events on the Nursing Times website, which will be updated throughout the year.
