Revalidation: A practical guide at Bristol Careers Live

  • Comment

Revalidation can appear as a daunting prospect to many, particularly as this will be the first time nurses are undergoing the process.

However, help is at hand at Nursing Times Careers Live in Bristol. The event, on 11 June, features a revalidation drop-in desk throughout the day to answer any questions you may have, and to clarify those aspects of the process you might be having difficulties with.

Also there on the day will be Kate Lettin; a Revalidation Officer for the Nursing and Midwifery Council. She will be hosting a session aimed at giving practical advice to nurses. “It will help both nurses who are due to revalidate soon, or those who are likely to be asked to act as a confirmer.”

The talk will feature an overview of the revalidation requirements and tips of how the nurses can meet each of them. Kate will also discuss the online application process and how to keep a portfolio. Further information will be provided to help nurses discover the range of support and resources available to them.

Careers Live in Bristol will also enable you to share your experiences with other nurses in a safe environment. The event is totally free to attend. If you are currently job hunting, need some independent careers support or revalidation advice, NT Careers Live is a must attend.
