Interactive training for CBT

  • Comment
A new e-learning service aimed at nurses interested in cognitive behavioural therapy has been launched by the Oxford Cognitive Therapy Centre.

Trainee therapists can use the service to discuss their caseloads with world-class trainers during monthly interactive video tutorials and view ‘webinars’ and role-play exercises.

The online training service is the first of its kind in the UK and is designed to supplement what is currently available offline.

Jon Allen, director of nursing and clinical governance at the Oxfordshire and Buckingham Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, said: ‘We wanted to make the expertise of our world-class CBT practitioners available to more trainee therapists. Using modern webcast technology was the ideal solution.’
