Such a low number in support of this long overdue legislation, compared to the national vote when Clarkson's job was thought to be in peril!
Atrocious! Did McKay work for nothing, I think not! Why do nurses always feel they have to do someone else's job, meanwhile Managers / owners rubbing their hands with glee, because targets have been reached. Nurses are seriously undermining the profession in this way - if you forfite your day off then you MUST be paid ......... simples!
It is a nurse's responsibility to ensure the patient is sufficiently hydrated and this duty can be delegated. However, if the nurse cannot be bothered, then we have no choice but to prescribe fluids to prevent deaths.
Comment on: Is the title Ward sister outdated?
I totally agree with James Bird and do not understand why the majority of nurses cannot stand up and be counted, instead of hiding behind 'anonymous'.
Comment on: Failure regime looms as trust faces bankruptcy
Please get real and realise that no business can continually run at a loss and expect to remain. This would apply equally to public or private services and the 'rip off PFI scheme' referred to by the Union rep. was presumably legally agreed by those running the trust. Again you are all looking to blame the private sector, rather than poor hospital management.
