A district nurse from Lewisham PCT visited my very poorly 99 year old uncle this week in his residential home- no family member was invited. She told him she needed to speak to him about the Gold Life Plan (it was government legislation and everyone had to have one). She asked where he wanted to spend his last days. He replied in his bungalow in Hastings. She then contacted his daughter and advised her that Alf wanted to leave the residential home and return to his bungalow. Uncle Alf has never owned any property or lived in Hastings. He is extremely poorly and confused and I can find no trace of this legislation. Irene is also now very upset and had to meet the District Nurse today. What on earth are the PCT's doing This is NOT caring.
