I loved enrolled nurses, they were practical, patient orientated and skilled, and I complained very loudly when their training ceased. They were again practical, and no way should they be burdened with paper work. BRING BACK ENROLLED NURSES
They should have been doing this all along.
They should ask H & S reps and activists what the problems. But Managers get rid of vocal people by bending policies. I Know.

Comment on: Should theatre staff wear surgical face masks?
Face protection is essential, it worries me that a high proportion of person only cover their mouths and not there noses. A face shield would be more acceptable and then it would not be pushed under the chin and reused and is more comfortable. Minor surgery intervention may also result in one getting a bood spurt (A & E). If you talk about storage and infection- look at all your hand towels stores on the floor in numerous places apart from the work situation.
Comment on: Experts call for over-65s stroke screening
Good idea. we need effective screening, and prevention is better than cure, would be cost effective and benifical to our community. However if policies are introdueced they are only as effective as the persons initiating them, policies may be activiated to look good for the quality aspects of care and we will need to demonstrate its effectiveness and adherance.
