A special event aimed at helping nurses develop the business skills needed in the new NHS will take place next month.

The Business Skills for Nursestraining day is intended to help nurses develop the ability to argue their case with finance departments, and secure the investment needed to develop innovative services.
Practical sessions will clarify the financial rules of the new NHS and clarify the financial responsibilities of nurses in jargon free terms. Speakers will include RCN general secretary Peter Carter and Louise Boden, chief nurse at University College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The event, developed jointly by NT and the RCN, will take place on 26 September at the Ibis Hotel Earls Court, London.
